Kitchen window 3/11

This stained glass piece was given to my parents over 20 years ago. We broke up housekeeping this year because both parents are now living in an Assisted Living facility, so I reclaimed the stained glass and it was perfect in my kitchen window.

Mom (Rosa Lee) is 89 years old and hates to have her picture taken. I have so many blurred photos of her!

Dad at Clapp's Assisted Living (August 19, 2010)

Dad (Carl) is 90 years old, and had just returned from the hospital with a bout of pneumonia. But there's nothing wrong with his appetite! He can still chow down with the best! But as you can see on pictures 2 months later, he looks a lot better!

View out the window of my parents' bedroom

It is such a bittersweet process of taking a household apart. Our parents, Carl and Rosa Lee, lived here for 50 years and in October, I and my two brothers had the task of cleaning the place out. Parents are now ages 90 and 91 and residing in an Assisted Living facility a few miles away.

Bart Ehrman

During October, 2010 seminar at Chapel Hill, N.C. This is the little carrot I gave myself during a hard working week at home.

Bart Ehrman Seminar

His seminar in October, 2010 was on New Testament "forgeries" -- under the premise that authors of few NT books can be identified for certain. My electronic notes for this class can be found on the website under the link for Books, Seminars, and Articles

Mabel at Clapp's Assisted Living

Mabel has a special role in the dining room. At the conclusion of every meal, she is asked to sing "Jesus loves me" for the other residents and she sings with gusto -- other residents joining in.

Deer in Dan and Lindsey's yard (8/20/10)

On the day I was to leave, I was gifted with 7 or 8 deer in their garden and yard -- a mom with 2 spotted fawns, a couple young bucks, and other does. I managed to catch a few good shots.

Sleeping angels

Seated behind me on the plane returning from NC was a family with 3 little angels. They kindly allowed me to take a photo and to display it without identifying them. I also sent the dad a copy.
