I paid for a download of this image and so it is legit to copy it if you like it. I obtained it in preparation for our St. Matt's Women's Retreat at the end of August, 2010 was on the theme of the 23rd Psalm.

Blessed André Bessette (1845-1937)

He was canonized a saint on October 17, 2010. Born near Quebec. His feast day is January 6th. He was a Brother in the Congregation of the Holy Cross. He performed humble tasks for over 40 years and entrusted all of the poor and sick who flocked to his cell to the care of St Joseph. He built a chapel and after his death, the shrine grew into the basilica known as St. Joseph's Oratory in Montreal. Irises, that were specially hybridized and named in his honor by his great niece, +Elaine Bessette, are reportedly growing on the grounds of the Oratory. I hope to visit someday. Look in section on books on our website for the official announcement of his canonization + a Thanksgiving Novena. Lord our God, friend of the lowly You gave your servant, Brother Andre a great devotion to Saint Joseph and a special commitment to the poor and afflicted. Through his intercession help us to follow his example of prayer and love and so come to share with him in Your glory. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. +Amen. Blessed Andre was important to me during my early formation process (and continues to be important). I was privileged to hear many family stories about him that are not recorded anywhere. www.catholic.org/saints/
